In going through our case files recently, it struck me that - in all of the murders solved by Mr. Slothe - the variety of weapons used was such that I could find at least one beginning with every letter of the alphabet. And since solving puzzles is one of the ways a detective keeps his wits sharp, I've created the word search puzzle below. Hidden vertically, horizontally and diagonally - backward and forward - are 26 weapons used for murder, one beginning with each letter of the alphabet.
And before you ask: as incredible as it sounds, a doctor was crushed by his own X-ray machine in the case called "The Man with the X-ray Dies."
Once you've found all 26 words, the unused letters left over will spell - in order - the name of a weapon used in an attempt on Mr. Slothe's life by the evil Harvey Von Ludwig.
